Also, I see the priming compound in the Fedarm cases is not dispersed uniformly, nor does it seem to be of uniform quantity.
MK42gunner: Stevens, who were the originators of the. In those days all. Priming compounds are water soluble, so spinning it into the rim would work well. Problem would be getting all the solid residues out of the rim space, which is rather thin.
Section a case and see. If the residue from previous firing isn't completely removed, you'd have a lot of duds where the priming was prevented from filling the rim cavity.
Last edited by uscra; at AM. The "kit" I ave seen has a tool one end is for scrapping the rim clean the other for "packing in the prime all compound then a drop of acetone to activate the hardener and set it. Im thinking a expanding collet set up to open rim and remove the most of the Existing firing pin ding.
And possibly setting rim thickness to the rifle. I was also thinking forming a dimple in the center off the head like the federal Ultra match had would aid spinning in the primer mix. But not sure if it could be done on already formed case heads. Originally Posted by John Boy. Gent, your approach is a needless exercise.

Your approach should certainly garner attention from the Match Shoots crowd, offers endless opportunities. There are four in stock as of 1 minute ago. Looked kinda crude but I figured it might be worth a try. Then I took a look at youtube to see any reviews. They didn't look too positive. Not sure if there is more than just the Sharp Shooter kit at this point but has anyone had any luck getting that kit or any others to work reliably? If you want to discuss centerfire cartridges, start a new thread.
Quote History. The glitch to the whole system, is you need to iron out the dent in the rim of the spent case in the first place, then need something to spin the case to seat the primer solution correctly inside the rim fold, once it has been metered correctly so you have uniformity in all the primer charges from on round to the next.
So yes, you can reload 22lr with the kits, but when you start doing groups measurements, they end up looking like shotgun patterns isntead. Hence they are lacking uniformity in the both the primer amounts being used, and in regards to the bullets, off over the maps in OD and weights as well.
Trust is, Instead of trying to reload 22lr thank god the supply is coming back , your better off with something like a 22 Hornet rifle isntead. It slow enough that your fine with PC cast bullets without gas checks, and regarding resizing the cases, and even resetting a new primer, a snap instead. I'm wondering when someone will come out with a.
Something like 25acp, but a tad longer, in. Biggest issue I see with it would be getting a small primer and a rim on a. I haven't measured it but there wouldn't be much room for an extractor groove so I guess it would have to be a rimmed case, or at least a semi-rimmed for headspace and extractor.
Or maybe even a tapered case. Not really feasible, since the whole concept of rim fire is the cost savings producing them in the first place.
Hence short of the 22lr ammo shortage that is coming to an end, only when it you can't find cheap factory ammo, is it feasible to start reloading for such instead. I see a lot of people keep talking about the availability of.
Just isn't true around here And the smaller gun shops want times what wal-mart charges. Those that I have talked to that can grab it have a much more flexible schedule than I do. I suppose ordering it online is an option but I'd love to see a place that can ship it even romotely in the same ballpark as what Wal-Mart and the other big retailers sell it in their store for.

Many are chambered in old-school obsolete cartridges like. It's common to see a really nice old Remington Rolling Block 4 or Stevens falling block in these calibers. And the rifles themselves are cheap. They are cheap because the ammo is non existent.
I know. But not like these obsoletes. I can find ammo for the. Now, given that these rounds are this scarce and this expensive, and needed for some truly wonderful, high quality, rifles like the Rem Rolling block and Stevens Falling block, you would think that a rimfire reloading kit for these cartridges would be a hot item.
How many 32 rimfire are you going to shoot? Despite the fact that there is every thing needed to make a. They don't exist because they really are not feasible, reliable, or worthwhile for rimfire cartridges. Its not done.
It does work all that well. All I can see is terribly inconsistent ignition, wildly varying velocity, some terribly accuracy and quite frankly, a huge pain in the ass for very very limited utility.
GO load light for your. Why not use a cast bullet in a case??? Nothing more than free range lead cast into a plug then swaged into a 69gr lead bullet then powder coated and sized to. Load that bullet so it's in the lands of my rem plinkers and use old cases with: Any pistol primer 5.
I like to start out 5. Knock it off. Quoted: Reloading. Now on the other hand, something like the Hornet is the idea case for a PVC bullet isntead perfect barrel twist as well. The firearm is going to be shoot out of does not require a full sizing of the cases, and in a say a bolt action type rifle, just neck forming instead. So this leaves just primer pocket wear, and with the lower power loads, the brass is kind of like a 45acp, that never really wears out instead.
