Unfortunately, the snow coverage at Heavenly is poor at the moment. A lot of trails are not open, and there are some bare spots on the trails.

Since we bought this season pass, the price has increased. We do not think it was justifiable to charge for the 'black out' days, under the current poor snow conditions, seeing we had bought a season pass. Many people are complaining of the high costs. We think that Vail Resorts Management are being too greedy and this will prevent people from visiting Heavenly in the future, especially when there is not enough snow to open all of the trails.

We really like Lake Tahoe, but the escalating costs will prevent us from visiting again - especially when there are such good snow conditions in Europe, and it is so much cheaper, and easier, to travel to Europe from the UK. Vail Management take note!! This is the place to be if you like snow sports. Heavenly was just as it promissed, Heavenly. The skiing conditions were wonderful every day whether it was snowing or not. It was also very much warmer up on the hill in the sun than back in Chicago.

You could be outside enjoying the snow without freezing. Heavenly has snow biking and tubing for those who don't ski at the top of the new Gondola that is just a short 12 minute ride up the center of the mountain from the downtown area. Heavenly also provides transportation pretty much anywhere you want to go via buses and shuttles, which run a couple of times an hour on all the many routes.

Tahoe is expensive, but I've never been skiing when it's not. It was a great vacation and now we get to enjoy all of our great scenic pictures.

Stay away from Children's Ski School. My son attended a full day of Heavenly ski school today. When I picked him up he was crying, had to go to the bathroom badly, and was extremely cold. I soon come to find out he only left the lodge twice. I asked him if anyone did anything to help him get warm, he said no. They only handed him a blanket and put a coloring book in front of him, and left him there for the entire afternoon.

I am extremely angry and disappointed with how this issue was dealt with. Is there not one small electric heater that these kids could use to warm up their fingers and toes? Or another solution could be to get these kids doing some exercises to get blood flow to their extremities? I can think of many ways to get them warm so they could enjoy their day of skiing.

How is it acceptable for a child to miss out on an entire day of ski school? My husband and I made a huge effort to create a special holiday weekend for our family, and the day was ruined because Heavenly didn't try to contact me. My 4-year old daughter also attended ski school that day, and she was miserable when I picked her up too.

Both my kids have attended full day ski schools at other mountains and have never had a negative experience. They always had smiles on their faces at the end of the day. I would also like to mention that there was some disorganization as well that went on the morning of drop off which created a long wait for the kids before getting into the school.

We were told to wait on the wrong line at first, then had to wait on two additional lines. Waiting outside exposed to the elements for over a half hour would also make it likely that the children would start their day out cold. I would think such a large operation would know how to take care of these children.

Then a team of three snowcats work in tandem to transport the food from the tram to our on mountain lodges. Crews then work to unload the products into our kitchens. All told, more than employees are involved in our food and beverage operations. The most impressive part of this logistical process, which is the backbone of our food and beverage operations, is that it happens in the dark of night.
