Comment by upperthorax If you plan on getting this mount, it's best to party up for the first quest. Venomous Ravasaurs are pretty sparse among the other raptors in the marsh area, so don't try to solo it if you can help it. Also, un-equip your weapon and just punch them in the face, try not to kill them. Good luck everyone, see you in 19 more days on your new Ravasaurs. Comment by eufouria I did the first two quests today and I found it pretty easy on my level 60 priest.
For the first quest I just equipped my skinning knife and auto-attacked it, healing myself when it was needed. I noticed I was resisting the poison quite often so I can imagine it would be harder for a level 80 to do it, because they'll resist the poison more often. Another thing is that you seem to have to hit the ravasaur to be poisoned so its a good idea to bring a weapon like a skinning knife that doesn't train any skill.
I hardly missed when I was attacking and was hitting the ravasaur for 3 damage, however my friend who was a level 69 druid took much longer because he used his bare hands and ended up just training his unarmed skilled on them until he was high enough to hit them.
Then he started to become poisoned very quickly. Also I read this page before doing the quest and was under the impression that you had to do this quest 20 times, but you only have to do this once. The second quest quest involved collecting 4 eggs and the eggs are very easy to see, although I was the only one doing the quest at the time so it would obviously take longer if there are more people.
For the third quest you're given a baby ravasaur pet that you summon and it gives you quests, which are 1 per day. The first that I got was to feed it 12 silithid eggs from the hive in tanaris, but my friend, the druid, got a quest to collect dinosaur meat so it's probably random.
You get 1 baby tooth for each quest, and you need 20 teeth to get the mount, and its one quest per day so it should take 20 days to get the mount. Also the pet can only be summoned in un'goro crater, tanaris and silithus, so bad luck to anybody who was considering keeping the pet. So far I'm quite enjoying having my own baby, so don't let the poison quest put you off. If you do it properly it will take much less time, an then the other quests take very little time.
Very easy. Beast tracking til you find a venomhide. Put on aspect of the monkey. Hit the venomhide since you can only get poisoned by hitting them. They're back at full health rinse and repeat. I got my quest off of just one venomhide. Comment by skipy I just began this chain yesterday, toxic tolerance and i think it's fairly easy, my toon is a lock 78, I just got unarmed and started punching at a venomhide ravasaur unarmed skill ocasionaly the ravasaur hit me with some posion and thats when the requirement raised, I was grouped with a hunter friend and he just sat there receiving credit, my unarmed skill raised to I think it took me like 5 minutes to get all 20, I think it aint necessesary to hit the raptor, just aggro it and let it have fun with you 'cos i received credits when he hit ME with its poison not the other way around.
The second quest Venomhide Eggs is just about picking some eggs, those are scatered around in some nests, it wont be very hard to find them. And the last one They grow up so Fast is to do the 20 daily quest the hatchilng will give you, the first one I did was to get 5 plumages from some birds in tanaris, the second I got is to kill 15 un'goro dinosaurs and give him their meat , I'll update this as soon as I get more quest. Comment by Sell Price: 2 gold 50 silver. Comment by If you forget to do one of the daily quests for say a weekend trip , will the quest fail and you'll have to start over or it just takes that much longer to complete the quest?
Comment by roarana you do not have to kill these raptors to complete the quest just aggro a couple let them hit you a bit and then when after a bit run away heal and reaggro Comment by You pretty much read mi mind.
I can only see it now, submarines from engineering, maybe a better aquatic form for the druids, a good use for the sea turtle Comment by Two more quests I did in addition to yours were to collect insect eggs from Tanaris, and Insect meat from the ones in Ungoro. Comment by This Mount would be one of my favorites if it didn't hav that retarded horn sticking straight infront of their face instead of upwards like a normal raptors not these mutated freaks :P.
Comment by No one else just a little miff'd that after all this time our ravasaur isn't a ravasaur at all? Sorry but this reskin of a starter mount is pretty lack luster. Here's hoping they fix the model to actually look like a THIS. Yeah i know, just looking for something to complain about but that aside the point is still valid that the mount is indeed NOT a ravasaur.
Much less that of the "Venomhide" variety Comment by Surag This screenshot is fake! This raptor is no so big, he have normal raptor mount size. Comment by Aknazer Some notes. Yes you can get the venom done on one ravasaur.
As a shaman I would simply run away and let them reset once the mob got low. Originally no special mount required riding skill to use. Also the PvP mounts only required lvl40 riding for the longest time. Comment by alexataide Well since nobody mentioned. Chain counts to Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement, thanks God.
Comment by Koragos Submitted a pic of me with mah baby in dalaran. I'm so glad I don't have to feed it anymore :. Comment by Take Note that if you are faction changing and have this you will get the Winterspring frostsaber. The farming consists of no actual farming; just 2 simple quests, then another quest which involves doing 20 dailies, 1 per day, 20 Runecloth, 20 Rugged Leather and 80 gold.
The Horde version is a black raptor, not unlike the PvP mount, but unarmored. The first quest is to build up an immunity to their poisonious skin; you must find Venomhide Raptors, which can be difficult because they're rareish and many people farm them now that this mount has come out.
Luckily, if you're alone, it's very simple. You must fight Venomhides and get splashed with their poison. Players might remember this; if you get splashed, you get a buff on your weapon. However, the buff doesn't hurt the venomhides What you should do, especially at 80, is to go barefisted and naked. You can still get splashed, but they won't die as quickly.
This is the only difficult part. Should only take 6 or 7 raptors. The 2nd part involves you finding white raptor eggs. They're surronded by pink eggs, and they're easy to collect. Turn those in to complete the quest. Right now you are probably wondering where in the world do you get the Venomhide Baby Teeth.
Now you have your little baby Ravasaur in your inventory, bring him out and you can accept a daily quest. There are only 3 different daily quests and, as far as I know, which one you get is at random, but they all seem pretty easy to do.
Payment: PayPal, Skrill, Cryptocurrencies. You will get it automatically when playing Alliance characters. No need to complete the quest chain on both factions. In order to start raising your own Ravasaur, you need to speak with Mor'vek near the southeastern entrance to Un'Goro Crater and complete 2 simple quests: Toxic Tolerance and Venomhide Eggs.
