Can i build roads in sims 3

Because the demand is certainly there. Using the wonderfully powerful tools of Blender, over the next few weeks leading up to the holidays I am going to be creating my own Winter-themed alpine village world name yet to be decided using props and objects extracted from The Sims 4 with the Sims4Studio! But honestly I just love the Winter time and I thought this might get us all in the holiday mood! Hopefully some build time-lapse videos will come at a later date when I begin to construct more interesting things like houses and decorate the world.

As you can see in the gif, the yellow highlighted area is my road mesh, the Array modifier will then copy that mesh and paste it directly next to the original, creating a seamless road mesh that can stretch as long as I need it to. As you can see from the screenshot, I had to create a separate mesh wherever any 3 roads met an intersection and stitch it together with the ends of each road to create a seamless finish. The ones I was trying it at had no neighbors, so it couldn't be lots too close to each other.

Is it not allowed? I am goning to try to move the diner and store in MF which are in side by side lots I guess EA was able to override the space between the lots and see if I can place the plaza from SV there. If it doesn't work, I will be back here to seek some advice. In MF I have yet to see anyone at the two dining areas can't remember their names or the bookstore.

I don't have time these days anyway. I think you may have a problem with the direction your lot is facing. So i suggest you try to place, hold the mouse button down, move it to get your lot facing the road or where it would be if you were in the right spot , then release the mouse. Do that in a nearby clear area. Then pick up that lot and put it where you want it. It shouldn't fight you anymore. I am hoping I can put there the plaza from SV there.

But I am still having problems. I was able to get the grid in place for it to go green, but it is not flush with the road. Can there be a space between where the plaza is at?

Does it have to be flush with the road? It is probably one or no more than two squares in the grid, but I can't put a sidewalk there. I don't have CAW, so I don't know if that would help. And I don't really care about the sides and back of the buildings, just the front area by the road, it fitting right.

The setup of the bookstore, diners, spa in SN is two lots attached to each other and there is no one around them, it is as if no one wants to go there.

At the Alchemy store I think that is what it is called you can find other sims there. But at the bookstore, diners and spa there isn't anyone around them. You have to move to a bigger lot. If you want to make any changes to the lot after the room markers have been placed, turn on testingcheatsenabled on, and type in restrictbuildbuyinbuildings off into the cheat window. This turns on the build cheat. By using testingcheatsenabled: Type testingcheatsenabled true and while playing on a sim, hold shift and press the ground of the lot.

It will give you the option to edit the lot. There is a consignment shop in every town in The Sims 3. Open from AM to PM every day of the week. To use the store, head there during hours of operation and click the counter and select buy.

At the top of the screen there is a consign tab. Head to the Bot Shop and click on one of the Bot displays with your Sim to get the option to sell them. Note the Plumbot must be on the lot with you I found visit lot with… option from the map to be helpful here, especially when selling multiple Bots. Interacting with Plumbots From their end, Plumbots can only do a few interactions and not enough to really make friends.

They can explain function, scan Sims no apparent use yet and Plumbots cannot reproduce, however. You do not need a mod. Increasing this skill enables Sims to make higher quality Plumbots and more advanced trait chips. Sims can learn and increase Bot Building skill by using the Bot Workshop or by reading any of the 3 skill books for Bot Building. Sims are able to buy trait chips from the bot emporium in Oasis Landing.

I feel like I finally have a real chance at making the awesome world I've been searching for but couldn't find already made. Another late reply, sadly. Hi Claudia! I really appreciate it. Is there a way to fix this? Hi, I don't quite understand your question. Are you saying that when you make a curve road, it disconnects from the intersection piece? More info and a picture will be helpful for my understanding, if you can send one. Hey I'm loving your tutorials, they have made using CAW a lot easier : I was just wondering though do you have to place sidewalks along the sides of roads?

I know that when you place a road peice there is a sidewalk section, is this all you need? MIght be a stupid question and the answer will probably be simple but I thought I'd ask.

HI, Sorry your comment got spammed, but I fished it out. So, NO you don't need to add a sidewalk with a road piece, the one it comes with is all you need. PS: there are no stupid questions in this forum. Hello Michael. Exactly what do you mean unable to use the roads? Car do not appear, or Sims do not walk on them? Can you be more specific. Or send a snapshot? No, it's ok. That usually helps. Hey, I wonder if you still drop by here.

Awesome guide, but it seems I got smth wrong. Can't get rid of the corners on the crossroads. Any tips? I am completely off the grid this year and I sincerely apologise. You have probably long since answered this question by now, but for the sake of any others that may have the same query.

NO you haven't done anything wrong, it's based on the corner map files and how the program interprets it. Hey, I really love your blog. It's super helpful as I've just started the creating process. A couple questions however. How do you delete roads?

Does Camera Routing and Sim Routing overlap, or does one replace the other? It's possible that I will have more questions, as I'm planning on trying to tackle the main town. I've worked on little individual lots and places, but planning the main town area so far has been very daunting.

Thanks for your easy to understand instructions, cohesive blog, and detailed steps. It's very appreciated. Take care. To delete roads, use the Select tool, arrow head that looks like a mouse pointer.

Use it to click the road piece and hit delete on your keyboard.
